Do not mix used oil with antifreeze or radiator fluid.
Antifreeze is more toxic after it has been used in your car, it contains metals which can be poisonous if swallowed by humans or pets. Lakes and streams can be threatened if antifreeze is poured down storm sewers or on the ground. See Household Hazardous Waste for more information.
DO NOT:
- Pour it down storm sewers
- Let it drip onto the ground
- Flush it into septic systems
- Use it to keep ice-fishing ice free
- Mix it with oil
- Place it in the trash
- Pour down your sink, doing this will kill the "good" bacteria which treats waste at wastewater treatment facilities
