Not Accepted At Hennepin County Facilities.

Vacuum cleaners (with the battery removed if it contains one) can be placed in your household trash. Contact your waste hauler for any special pick-up information.

The metal parts of vacuum cleaners (with all non-metal parts removed) are accepted for free for recycling as scrap metal.

Batteries

Rechargeable batteries contain hazardous materials and must not be placed in the trash. Batteries are accepted for free at both drop-off facilities.
