Who can use our facilities

Materials are accepted from household only (excluding recycling, organics and some problem materials).

Materials are accepted from residents of Hennepin, Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Ramsey, and Washington counties only. Residents from Scott, Sherburne and Wright counties are not eligible to use our drop-off facilities.

What to bring

Proof of residency (such as a Minnesota drivers license or current utility bill) must be presented.

Paymet: Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards, cash or check are accepted for items with fees
Container size

Household hazardous waste must be in containers of five-gallons or less, and the container should be labeled with content.
Full-serve and self-serve areas at the drop-off facilities

The Brooklyn Park household hazardous waste area is full-service. Vehicles will be unloaded for residents.

The Brooklyn Park recycling area is self-serve. Residents are responsible for unloading their own vehicle. Limited unloading assistance is available only for heavy items.

The Bloomington site is a full-service facility. Vehicles will be unloaded for residents.
