Reuse Tips

• Courage Center accepts car seats for donation. Call first at 952-881-1100.
• Vietnam Vets Association and Lupus Foundation Pick-up Programs also take car seats.
• A web site called Baby Earth will take some baby items that they will disassmeble and recycle. Check their web site for details.
• Donating used car seats can be difficult. Check with local non-profits to see if they'll accept them and what their guidelines are.
• If you have a friend or relative who needs a car seat, offer it to them.

Accept: Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard and Discover cards. Solid Waste - ALL Vehicles and Trailers : $19 per cubic yard - 3'x3'x3' (minimum)

Take apart car seat and cut straps. This will prevent anyone from using it again. Dispose of in the trash.

Most insurance companies will reimburse you to replace child car seats when a vehicle has been in a traffic accident. Follow the guidelines provided by the Minnesota Safety Council for safety guidelines.
