• Ask the store that delivered your new mattress if they will take your old one for recycling or disposal.
• Call your garbage hauler to see if they will pick it up for recycling or disposal.
• For large quantities (dry and clean) see PPL Industries Second Chance Recycling program.

Accepted At These Hennepin County Facilities. Proof of residency required (MN drivers license or current utility bill).

Accept: Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard and Discover cards. Mattresses or Boxsprings : $15 each; any size. Fee is in addition to solid waste fees.

Accepted at Brooklyn Park Drop Off Facility ONLY.

Recycle
Dry and clean mattresses and box springs brought to the Brooklyn Park Drop Off Facility will be recycled.*

Includes:

• Mattresses from futons
• Baby crib mattresses
• Toddler bed mattresses

Does not include sleeper sofas.

Disposal
Wet or heavily stained mattresses and box springs brought to the Brooklyn Park Drop Off Facility will be disposed of as garbage.*

*Fees apply for both recycling and disposal at the Brooklyn Park Drop Off Facility.
