ITEM LIMIT: 25 lamps, per household, per 12 month period.
It is illegal to place fluorescent light bulbs and other non-incandescent lights such as tubes, circles, u-shape, compact fluorescent bulbs, and high intensity discharge (HID) in the garbage because they may contain mercury.
Broken Lamps are also accepted. See the PCA's recommendations for what to do when you break a flouorescent lamp.
Transport
Remove lamps and ballasts from fixture (the metal and ballasts are accepted also). Place lamps in original packaging to prevent breaking. If you no longer have the original packaging, cushion lamps in between blankets. Please do not tape lamps together.
